Abstract

Background. The study entitled "The Relationship Between angularity, rump angle and rump width on Body Condition Score (BCS) on Friesian Holstein Dairy Cow in BBPTU HPT Baturraden". The purpose of this study is to find out how big the relationship between angularity, rump angle, and rump width against Body Condition Score (BCS) dairy cattle in BBPTU HPT Baturraden and to knowing how much the relationship between angularity, rump angle and rump width of dairy cows against the value of BCS Friesian Holstein dairy cow in BBPTU HPT Baturraden. Material dan methods. The study was conducted from December 1 to 30 December 2017 at BBPTU HPT Baturraden. This research method using survey method. The research material used is 100 Fresian Holstein cows lactation to three and angle measuring instrument and metline. The analysis used is correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression. Results. The results of the analysis showed that the mean and the intersection of the Body Condition Score (BCS) value of dairy cattle at the HPT BBPTU was 3.2 ± 0.09, angularity was 52.66 ± 6.42 degrees, rump angle was 88.78 ± 4.43 degree, and rump width of 21.04 ± 1.94 cm. The results of the
study obtained the value of the correlation coefficient (r) of 0.14. The coefficient of determination (r2) is 0.0199 or 2% with the regression equation = 2.89 + 0.000921 X1 + 0.002039 X2 + 0.004229 X3. Correlation relationship between BCS with each member of the linear body (angularity, rump angle and rump width) obtained the number is angularity (X1) correlation coefficient (r) = 0.01, the coefficient of determination r2 = 0.0048 and the regression equation = 3.15 + 0.001075 X1, rump angle (X2) correlation coefficient (r) = 0.09,
coefficient of determination r2 = 0.0081, regression equation = 3.03 + 0.002027 X2, and rump width (X3) correlation coefficient (r) = 0.09, the coefficient of determination r2 = 0.0086 and the regression equation = 3.11 + 0.004757X3. Conclusion. The results of the study concluded that the relationship between angularity, rump angle and rump width with BCS was relatively small.
