ANALISIS KONSENTRASI ESTROGEN DAN PROGESTERON DENGAN WAKTU OPTIMUM INSEMINASI BUATAN DAN CONCEPTION RATE PADA SAPI PASUNDAN

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi estrogen dan progestron terhadap waktu optimum inseminasi buatan (IB) dan conception rate pada sapi Pasudan bunting. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga kelompok perlakuan yaitu kelompok I, sapi di IB 0 jam (saat estrus), kelompok II, sapi di IB 12 jam setelah estrus dan kelompok III, sapi di IB 24 jam setelah estrus. Pengamatan estrus dilakukan 2 kali sehari yaitu pagi hari (jam 6.00-8.00 wib) dan sore hari (jam 16.00-18.00 wib) yang ditandai dengan keluarnya leleran bening  transfaran dari vagina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa conception rate tertinggi pada sapi Pasundan dengan waktu IB 24 jam setelah estrus (90%), namun secara statistik tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata (P > 0,05) dengan yang di IB 12 jam (80%) setelah estrus, sedangkan sapi yang di IB saat estrus, tidak ada yang bunting (0%). Kadar progesteron dan estrogen pada sapi Pasundan bunting meningkat sejalan dengan umur kebuntingan yaitu 15,43±0,50 ng/ml /24.81±2.86 pg/ ml pada umur kebuntingan 30 hari, 17,16±0,34 ng/ml/ 26.43±1.32pg/ ml pada umur kebuntingan 60 hari dan 20,78±0,59 ng/m//27.02 ±1,49pg/ml pada umur kebuntingan 90 hari. Simpulan bahwa waktu IB terbaik adalah 24 jam setelah estrus, kadar progesteron dan estrogen meningkat pada sapi pasundan sejalan dengan umur kebuntingan.
